Jake Bidwell has received special recognition for his role in Brentford’s weekend win.
The Bees beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-2 at Griffin Park on Saturday, September 13.
Jake set up two goals in the win.
He was involved in the second, crossing for Andre Gray to score, and the third, picking up an Alex Pritchard pass, playing a one-two with Jota and lifting the ball in to the middle where Jonathan Douglas nodded home.
The two assists were enough to earn him a place in the Football League Team of the Week.
The team, published on the Football League website, is drawn from the performances over the previous seven days in all three Sky Bet Football League divisions.
Jake was one of three defenders selected and is the first Brentford player to receive the accolade in 2013/14.
