Brentford Under-21s will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in the Jersey Mike's Trophy as they travel away to MK Dons on Tuesday 6 October (7pm kick-off BST).
The fixture will be held at Stadium MK and is another opportunity for the young Bees to test themselves against senior opposition.
Isaac Holland will head into the fixture looking to build on an impressive individual performance in Brentford's last league outing, a 3-2 Premier League 2 defeat away to Manchester United Under-21s.
Holland opened the scoring in the 20th minute, finishing confidently after being played through by Joseph Wheeler-Henry, before completing his brace late on.
However, three goals from the hosts meant the forward's efforts were not enough to prevent defeat at Progress With Unity Stadium.
Despite the result, Holland's performance provided plenty of encouragement as he continues to establish himself in the Under-21s squad after overcoming an injury setback.
"It was frustrating being out injured, especially when you want to be out there helping the team, but I'm feeling really good now and I'm happy to be back playing," he said.
"I've worked hard to get myself back to full fitness, and now it's about building that consistency, getting more minutes and showing what I can do on the pitch.
"I've got a lot of motivation to push on now. It's been a difficult period being on the sidelines, but it's made me even more determined to make the most of every opportunity I get. I want to keep improving, work hard in training and make sure I'm ready to contribute whenever the team needs me."
With a busy schedule ahead and the opportunity to face senior opposition, Holland is excited by the challenges that lie ahead and the chance to represent Brentford on a new stage.
"We've got a really good group of players and there's a lot of excitement around what we can achieve together," added the forward. "We are excited to make our mark and represent the badge, and I think everyone is looking forward to showing what we can do.
"Personally, I just want to keep pushing on, impress whenever I get the opportunity and help the team as much as I can. We've got some great challenges coming up, and games like this are exactly what you want as a young player. We can't wait to get out there, compete and hopefully make it a successful campaign."
Last time out
Category One status has already seen Brentford face a higher calibre of opposition on a regular basis, and the Jersey Mike's Trophy presents a different challenge, with established League One and League Two sides providing valuable tests for Sam Saunders' squad.
The young Bees began their inaugural JMT campaign with a late 1-0 victory away at Bromley.
Ollie Shield scored the decisive goal in the closing stages to secure all three points for the young Bees, with Reggie Rose making a number of important saves to keep the League One side at bay.
Fábio Carvalho, Antoni Milambo and Gustavo Nunes all started in the team that competed well against the Ravens before Shield’s late strike sealed the win.
