England's Under-21s dropped their first points in Euro 2017 qualifying after a 0-0 draw in Sarajevo against Bosnia-Herzegovina this lunchtime with Brentford's on loan Chelsea midfielder John Swift not included in the 18 man matchday squad.
The Young Lions had the better of the match but had to settle for a point after Jack Stephens was sent off with 20 minutes to play. The draw means England move to the top of Group Nine on goal difference.
20-year-old Swift, who has made seven appearances for The Bees since joining in October, is still waiting to make his England Under-21s debut having been capped by England at every level between Under-16s and Under-20. The midfielder will hope to be involved on Monday when Gareth Southgate's side take on Switzerland at Brighton and Hove Albion's American Express Stadium.
