The delivery of Brentford’s new adidas home shirt for the 2013/14 season has been delayed.
The Club announced in March a new partnership with adidas to become Brentford’s new Official Kit Supplier commencing with season 2013/14.
adidas, the world’s biggest football brand, will offer Brentford fans a much wider range of branded merchandise and apparel, within a rebranded and refurbished Club Shop.
Brentford’s new red and white home shirt was due to be officially launched on Saturday June 29.
However, there has been a delay to the arrival of the kit at The Bees Superstore.
An adidas spokesman said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances there is a short delay with the delivery of the new 2013/2014 home shirt and training wear.
“adidas is immensely proud of our partnership with Brentford Football Club and we are working hard to ensure this situation is resolved quickly and efficiently and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
The home kit launch has therefore been postponed and a planned closure of The Bees Superstore from June 21 to 29 has also been postponed.
The Superstore will now be closed on the week commencing July 1.
The details of when the kit will be launched will follow in due course.
The home kit is still available to order now at www.brentforddirect.co.uk.
Supporters that have ordered the kit have not yet been charged for it and no money will be taken for existing or new orders until early July.

Short sleeve adult shirts will be £39.99 with long sleeve shirts available for £41.99.
Child sizes of the replica shirt will be £30.99 short sleeve and £32.99 long sleeve while mini kits, available for those under the age of five are £36.99.
Adult black adidas Brentford shorts will be available for £25 with socks £10, child shorts will be £20 and socks £8.99.
The home goalkeeper kit – which can be seen here on new goalkeeper Jack Bonham – is also available to pre-order.
Adults goalkeeper shirts will cost £41.99 with shorts £25 and socks £10.
Child size goalkeeper shirts will be available for £32.99 with shorts £20 and socks £8.99
Adult shirts will be available in sizes small to 3XL while child sizes are from extra small youth to extra-large youth.

Brentford will continue to wear last season’s Puma training wear and kit for pre-season training and friendlies until the 2013/14 kit arrives.
