Uwe Rosler’s side picked up a third straight League One win after a 2-1 success at Stadium:MK. The Bees took the lead against the run of play early on as Clayton Donaldson burst free down the left before cutting inside and lashing past David Martin. That advantage was doubled shortly after as neat build-up play allowed Jonathan Douglas to fire home from the edge of the box. Both sides traded chances in a feisty second-half before MK found a way back into the game with two minutes to play: the referee pointing to the spot after Shaun Williams went to ground easily inside the area. The midfielder picked himself up to score but some resolute defending and poor finishing in the dying seconds ensured that there would be no comeback for the home side.

The ultimate smash and grab raid saw Brentford leave Buckinghamshire with the three points on a bitterly cold afternoon at Stadium:MK. The hosts had 15 shots to Brentford’s two but could find no way past the Brentford defence, backed up by an inspired Wojciech Szczesny. Jermaine Easter was twice denied by superb tackles after being sent clear and Aaron Wilbraham headed Dean Lewington's cross against the inside of a post as chances came and went. Andy Scott’s side had to wait 87 minutes for their first shot on target and when it came it proved decisive: MacDonald meeting a Marcus Bean flick and firing in low to stun the home crowd and send the travelling Bees home jubilant.

Lloyd Owusu scored after just eight minutes as Brentford secured a crucial three points in their hunt for promotion to the Championship. In the surroundings of the uncovered National Hockey Stadium and with the rain pouring down, Owusu’s neat finish past Ricardo Batista had The Bees in front early on. Martin Allen’s side then had to withstand a barrage from the home side. Izale McLeod smashed a penalty against the bar for the home side, as well as missing a number of good chances, as Stuart Nelson and The Bees defence dealt with all that was thrown at them to earn a first win in four matches for Allen’s side.
