Harlee Dean celebrates five years as a Brentford player on Saturday and the latest edition of Bees Review - the official matchday programme - has an exclusive interview with him.
The 25-year-old is now skipper, plus has recently celebrated becoming a father for the first time. He told Bees Review that these were part of a maturing process over the past 12 months.
“It’s just taking ownership of things rather than having somebody have to tell you it,” said Harlee. “It’s part of growing up. When I was a youngster you were happy to be playing and to be out there but now it’s about results, performing, keeping your shirt. The boys are driven; they are hungry and want to be better.”
