Brentford striker Will Grigg has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for a friendly match later this month.
Northern Ireland finished their qualification campaign for the 2014 FIFA World Cup last month.
They finished fifth in in European Qualifying Group F, winning one and drawing four of their ten games, and missed out on a trip to Brazil.
They now begin preparations for their next qualification campaign, for the 2016 UEFA European Championships, which will be held in France.
Their first fixture is an international challenge match against Turkey next Friday, November 15, and Will has been selected.
The striker is set to join up with the squad next Tuesday, November 12, after Brentford’s FA Cup with Budweiser match against Staines Town on Saturday, November 9.
He will be available for the match against Turkey on Friday, a game that is scheduled to kick off at 7pm GMT, 9pm local time.
Will is in line to return in time for Brentford’s Sky Bet League One game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday November 23 but will miss the League One game against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday November 16.
Will, who joined The Bees this summer after leaving Walsall, has made five appearances for Northern Ireland, three of which have been since arriving at Griffin Park.
He has also played for Northern Ireland at Under-19 and Under-21 level.
