Brentford’s ‘A’ team crushed Crawley 16 (SIXTEEN)-1 with the Sussex Red Devils severely hampered by only being able to field 4 players.
The Futsal Bees took full advantage rattling in four goals in the opening seven minutes (Dailey 2, Ali and Scott) but it took another nine minutes before Sandhu made it 5-0.
Two more goals from Ali and Dailey (who completed his hat-trick) ended the first half scoring.
The second half continued in the same vein as Brentford doubled the score by the mid-point of the period.
Finn completed a seven-minute hat-trick while skipper Dailey added to his tally with his fourth goal.
Ali also completed his hat-trick during this period.
Some sloppy defending allowed Crawley to get one on the scoreboard, but the Bees added two more in the last three minutes, with Finn (four goals) and Dailey scoring his fifth of the game.
Despite three Brentford players scoring hat-tricks the Bees squad paid tribute to their opposition for sticking to their task.
The ‘B’ team suffered a catastrophic afternoon in Barking with their game being abandoned when they were reduced to three fit players.
Peterborough United were able to field some of their ‘A’ team squad due to Leyton Orient, who have withdrawn from the league, not fulfilling their scheduled fixture.
Brentford were 2-0 down within five minutes when Alfie Hipwell injured his hip and could not continue.
This left The Bees with the bare five players.
A few minutes later goalkeeper and captain Mason Roseboom suffered a leg injury resulting in his withdrawal.
Now down to four players, it was damage limitation for the TW8 scholars.
With the score 4-0 at half time, The Bees decided to go with an attacking approach despite having 4 players.
This resulted in a five minute spell where Brentford enjoyed some pressure and forced four successive corners but could not convert any of those chances.
Three more goals were conceded by the tiring quartet when a poor foul from the Posh forced the stand-in keeper Saki Shire to come off injured.
It was at this point BFC Futsal Head Coach Luis Melville decided his team were not going to continue with three players and conceded the game.
Explaining afterwards, Luis said: "We had to play a significant part of the game with four players and the lads were extremely fatigued.
"It would have been negligent of me to allow them to physically punish themselves by allowing them to continue.
"Player welfare will always be my main concern over any result.
"I’ve never know anything like that in my ten years of experience in Futsal to have three players injured in the same game.
"I don’t recall running over any black cats or breaking any mirrors on the way to the game."
