The first game of the new Sky Bet Championship season is now just four weeks away as preparations for the 2016/17 season get into full swing. After finishing last season in red-hot form, following a run of seven wins in nine matches, Dean Smith and his squad will be looking to carry that form into the upcoming season when they open up their campaign away at Huddersfield Town on Saturday 6 August, kick-off 3pm. The match is a repeat of the final game of last season which The Bees won 5-1 thanks to a double from Scott Hogan and goals from Sergi Canos, Lasse Vibe, and John Swift.
Preparations for the new season are well under-way with four weeks to go until the big kick-off. The Bees got their pre-season campaign underway last night with a 2-1 defeat to Boreham Wood before departing for a week-long training camp in Germany this morning. In Germany, the team will play a friendly against VFL Bochum before returning home for friendlies against Wycombe Wanderers, 1.FC Kaiserslautern, Peterborough United, and Millwall in the build up to the new campaign.
