Adam Forshaw said the overwhelming feeling in the dressing room after Brentford’s defeat to Yeovil Town was one of frustration.
The Bees were beaten 3-1 by the Somerset side last night despite an equalising goal from Clayton Donaldson.
Brentford fell behind but responded well and Donaldson equalised after half time but Paul Hayes saw a penalty saved and Yeovil went on to win.
“We are frustrated,” said Adam, speaking to Bees Player after the match.
“It was a weird game with different momentums.
“We had a penalty, missed it and it all turned sour from there.
“Conceding the goal woke us up; we passed the ball well and created chances.
“In the second half we had the momentum and got the penalty.
“Unfortunately Paul missed it but these things happen.
“We tried to keep it going, keep the pressure on, but they got the two goals.
“I don’t really know what happened, they save the penalty and their tails went up.
“They went on and made it count.”
Adam said one of the differences between Brentford and Yeovil was taking chances.
He said he was confident The Bees would get it right.
“We passed the ball really well and created good chances at times,” said Adam.
“Clayton finished one really well, I had a couple of good shots and Farid [El Alagui] went close with a couple of headers.
“It just wasn’t to be.
“We had a lot of chances, they took theirs, we never.
“It is a matter of time until we get it right.”
Adam was named Man of the Match by the sponsors at Griffin Park after the match and told Brentford fans there were more to come.
“I have more to give, I would like to score a couple more goals,” he said.
“I am loving it here.
“The lads, manager and staff are great.
“I just can’t wait to keep it going.”
