We will open our pre-season campaign ahead of the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship season with a trip to Aldershot Town on Friday 7 July. The match will be played at The Shots’ EBB Stadium, kick-off 7.30pm.
Gary Waddock’s side still harbour real hopes of a return to the EFL after a four-year absence with a place in the Vanarama National League Play-Offs almost assured. With only Saturday’s home game against Braintree Town to play, The Shots are three points clear of sixth-placed Dover Athletic but with a superior goal difference.
The two sides last met in a competitive game in November 2010 as the Hampshire side knocked The Bees out of the FA Cup in a Second-Round replay, Wade Small scoring the only goal. A familiar face could be lining-up against The Bees as former goalkeeper Mark Smith is on the playing staff at The EBB Stadium
