Final preparations for this afternoon’s match at Griffin Park are underway.
Brentford host Milton Keynes Dons in a top-of-the-table clash that will kick off at TW8.
The Bees start the day fifth in npower League One with the Buckinghamshire side in third.
The weather conditions over the past week have been testing for the Brentford FC ground staff but the pitch, picture above in the past hour, is in good condition.
Nick Baldwin, Brentford FC Head Groundsman, said: “We have had a lot of rain over the past two weeks and then temperatures dropped in the middle of the week.
“Tuesday and Wednesday nights were particularly cold and could have presented a problem.
“But the pitch was covered with our frost covers and was not affected.
“We spiked it on Thursday evening to make sure any remaining water on the pitch drained away.
“We are happy with the state of the pitch and will be working over the next few hours to get it match ready.
“By 3pm it will be how we want it.”
