Fin Stevens made his Swansea City debut off the bench on Saturday as the Swans registered a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.
Joël Piroe scored the only goal midway through the first half at the Swansea.com Stadium to move Russell Martin’s side up to 18th in the table.
Fin played the final 25 minutes after completing his deadline day move to South Wales. Swansea are on the road next weekend with a Saturday trip to Birmingham City.
Also in the second tier, Tariqe Fosu played an hour on Sunday as Stoke City were beaten 2-1 by Reading.
A Lucas João double, either side of Ben Wilmot’s goal, secured the points for the Royals, leaving Stoke City 19th in the early Championship table. The Potters are at home to Luton Town next weekend.
