Brentford have been drawn away to Exeter City in the First Round of the 2016/17 EFL Cup. The fixture is due to be played between the first and second Championship fixtures in the week beginning Monday 8 August.
This will be the first match against City since March 2012, when Brentford won 2-0 in a League One fixture. Overall, Brentford have won 47 of the last 96 meetings between the two teams in all competitions.
Exeter, based in Devon and who also play at home in red and white stripes, finished 14th in League Two last season. A points tally of 64 saw them safely away from the relegation zone but some way off the mark necessary for a Play-Off spot.
