Brentford pair Alan Judge and John Egan have received Republic of Ireland international call-ups. They have been named in the provisional squad for three upcoming matches. Ireland will play a game against Celtic and then international friendly fixtures against France and United States of America. Alan and John are part of the initial group that will be whittled down to a final squad later this month.
Ireland will play Celtic on Sunday 20 May. The game will be played at Celtic Park and will be a testimonial for Celtic captain Scott Brown. They will then travel to Paris to face France on 28 May before hosting USA on 2 June.
Both will be hoping to add to their international caps. It is a second call-up for Alan since he returned from a serious broken leg. That injury came just days after Alan made his international debut in a friendly against Switzerland. On his return, he earned a second cap – coming on as a substitute against Turkey in March. Alan has also played for his country at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-21 and Under-23 level.
John made his international debut just over a year ago. He started for Ireland in a friendly against Iceland and has made one further appearance, against Mexico last summer. John has also played at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level.
