Jan Holldack's third goal in as many league games this season set Brentford's Development Squad on their way to a 3-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Harlington.
The German midfielder swept home after five minutes and that lead was doubled shortly after as Montell Moore fired home from 12 yards.
Rangers had an instant chance to pull one back but Samba Diakite's poor penalty was saved by Jack Bonham.
The Bees continued to create, and squander, chances in the second-half but eventually wrapped up the points as Jermaine Udumaga found the bottom corner from 25 yards.
Tom Field, Jack O'Connell and Nico Yennaris came into Lee Carsley's side for the short trip down the A4 at the expense of Aaron Greene, Josh Laurent and Sam Saunders.
In terrible conditions it was Brentford, and Holldack in particular, who took the game to Rangers in the early stages.
The midfielder fired two early warning shots over the bar in the opening three minutes before he finished off a flowing one-touch passing move with a clinical finish to put Brentford ahead inside five minutes.

Moore had an effort blocked away but he didn't have to wait long to get his name on the scoresheet as another flowing move involving the attacking midfielder, Josh Clarke and Udumaga ended with Moore dancing through the home defence and lashing home from close range.
Rangers had barely stepped foot in Brentford's half in the early stages but when they did they created a golden chance to pull a goal back - Jake Mulraney went over Tom Field's outstretched leg inside the box but Diakite passed up the opportunity as his tame effort was kept out by Bonham diving to his right.
That chance was the only real effort of note the home side mustered in a first-half that belonged exclusively to The Bees.
Moore pulled a shot across the face of goal after his quick-feet got him into the Rangers' box, Holldack scuffed a shot wide when well placed and Udumaga was denied by Joe Lumley as Carsley's side threatened to run riot.
A third goal should have arrived on the half-hour as captain James Ferry fed Senior, who in turn found Holldack, but the German midfielder's shot was smothered by Lumley at point-blank range.
Lumley was by far the busier keeper and he adjusted well to keep out Senior's deflected effort before the speedy winger shot over with the last action of the half.
As the weather worsened in the second-half, the rain and wind making it feel more like December than August, The Bees continued to create openings.
Yennaris couldn't quite turn home Clarke's deflected effort before the midfielder, returning from injury, arrowed a shot over the bar from long-range.
Osman Kakay then nearly turned the ball into his own net from a low Moore cross before Udumaga failed to finish off a fine move - his weak shot easy for Lumley.
Lumley spread himself well to turn away Moore's close-range shot, Udumaga fired over from distance before the same player could only find the side netting from a tight angle.
Eventually a deserved third Brentford goal did come as Udumaga was given the freedom of Harlington to measure a shot from 25 yards which found the bottom corner past the despairing dive of Lumley.
Bonham made a fine save to deny Frankie Sutherland a late consolation while at the other end substitute Zain Westbrooke struck the post with an audacious chipped effort.
Westbrooke saw an effort blocked and Seika Jatta was denied by Lumley in the dying seconds as Brentford continued to push forward to the final whistle.
The win maintains Brentford's unbeaten start to the season and extends the winning run against Rangers to three matches in the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South.
