Nathan Fox is in line to make his Brentford debut this afternoon as The Bees Development Squad take on Colchester United at Jersey Road. The match will kick-off at 1pm and spectators are welcome.
The 19-year-old defender signed from Cray Wanderers on Friday afternoon and is included in Flemming Pedersen's squad for this afternoon's match. The Bees go into the match in fourth place in the U21 Professional Development League Two South, five points outside the Play-Off places. Brentford were denied a valuable three points last time out against Watford as Alex Jakubiak netted deep into injury time to salvage a point for The Hornets in a 3-3 draw.
Visitors Colchester are behind The Bees only on goal difference after last Monday's 3-0 derby win over Ipswich Town at Playford Road. That result ended a run of three consecutive defeats in all competitions and was The Us first success since beating The Bees 3-1 in Essex back in November. On that occasion Femi Akinwande put The Us ahead inside the opening ten minutes but that was cancelled out shortly after by Reece Cole’s fine long-range free-kick. However two goals just before the hour settled matters in favour of the Essex side.
