Brentford's Development Squad visit Colchester United this lunchtime knowing a win will move them into the Play-Off places in the U21 Professional Development League Two South. Monday's match will be played at Colchester United's Florence Park Training Ground, kick-off 1pm.
The Bees extended their fine run of form to six wins in seven after a 3-1 win over Ipswich Town last Monday with Courtney Senior, Jan Holldack and Reece Cole on target for Kevin O'Connor's side. That win moved The Bees up to third in the table, two points behind league leaders Charlton Athletic.
Colchester United are also enjoying a fine start to the season having picked up 19 points from their first 12 games, which leaves them two points behind The Bees. However The Us have struggled of late losing four of their last six matches in the league.
United had the better of the meetings last season after a 3-2 win in Essex in September and a 2-2 draw at Jersey Road. On both occasions Colchester came from behind to deny The Bees all three points.
