Head Coach Dean Smith gave his thoughts after the 3-1 victory over Ipswich Town that was tempered by the loss of Alan Judge due to a serious leg injury early into the game at Portman Road.
”I hope it’s not as bad as I fear,” said Dean. “I thought it was a poor tackle and deserved the red card but didn’t get that. I thought the lad has gone in to win the ball but gone to leave a bit on him as well. It should have been dealt with.
”I was really pleased with how we kept our heads. We created a few opportunities [it was] a great finish from Sam Saunders and good work from Kersch to create that for him. I’m really pleased for Lasse; he’s gone and got a couple of goals and I was hoping he was going to get his hat trick but it wasn’t to be.
”It was a great week and a great win. I’m proud of the players; to get three wins and score three goals in each game, and that’s with a lot of players out injured at the moment.
