This is Darren's third season as an EFL referee having spent many years in the professional game as a linesman, including running the line for the 2015 FA Cup Final between Aston Villa and Arsenal.
Darren only took charge of his first Brentford game last month when he officiated our 3-0 win against Bolton Wanderers, showing three yellow cards in the process.
This season the Barnsley-born official has shown 39 yellow cards, and one red, in 11 competitive games.
