Daniel O'Shaughnessy will be hoping to earn more international honours next month after he was named in Tommi Kautonen's squad for Finland's upcoming 2017 European Championship Qualifier against the Faroe Islands. The match will be played in the Faroe Islands capital Torshavn on Thursday 2 June, kick-off 6pm local time.
The 21-year-old defender, who is out of contract at Griffin Park this summer, will join up with his teammates later this month as Finland look to keep pace with the Group 7 leaders Germany and Austria. Daniel has been an ever present in qualifying so far as Finland sit in third place with nine point from five matches, six points behind second-placed Austria with a game in hand.
Daniel's form this season saw him make his senior international debut in January against Sweden in Abu Dhabi before making his first start, against Iceland, a few days later. In total the tall-defender has earned 13 caps for Finland's Under-21s as well as his two senior caps.
