Brentford defender Daniel O’Shaughnessy helped Finland’s Under-21 side to a draw in a special celebration match.
The 20-year-old left-side defender played 90 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Sweden earlier today, Saturday 13 June.
The match was played to mark the 100th anniversary of the Helsinki Sports Stadium and although Sweden had the upper hand, Daniel helped Finland to a clean sheet and a draw in the friendly encounter.
Daniel, who joined The Bees last summer on a two-year contract after a successful trial, has been a regular in the Finland Under-21 squad over the past year.
He has now made eight appearances and scored once as well as picking up an Under-20 cap in a friendly against Hungary that included players eligible for the 2017 European Under-21 Championships.
Qualifying will begin for that tournament in the autumn.
