The new Brentford FC match day programme has picked up an award
The match day magazine – Bees Review – was re-designed for the 2013/14 season and enlarged to 84 pages from last season’s 68.
It was also slightly reduced in size to make it easier to fit in the pocket.
The programme was entered in to the 2013/14 Midlands Programme Club Awards and was named overall winner for Sky Bet League One.
In a letter to Brentford FC, the Midlands Programme Club said: “The quality of every match day programme for the 2013/14 season was excellent; however, yours stood out from the others and received some excellent feedback from the panel of judges for its layout, articles, use of colour, first impression of the cover, and overall value for money.”
Brentford’s 2013/14 programme contains an expanded space for The Big Interview, featuring an in-depth look at a key figure, and a historical look at Brentford memorabilia and some of the grounds where The Bees have played that no longer exist.
The Academy section has been enlarged to take a closer look at some of the players coming through the ranks at Griffin Park and the staff helping them achieve their goals.
There are the usual facts and announcements as well as ticket news and travel information.
Manager Uwe Rösler, Sporting Director Mark Warburton and Chief Executive Mark Devlin write columns for every issue and there are stats provided by Opta.
Bees Review costs £3 and is available from sellers around the ground on match days.
Supporters can also download an app to read the programme on an iPad – more details are available here.
