Brentford FC recently held its third fan advisory board (FAB) meeting.
FAB meetings are a part of the club’s ongoing commitment to fan engagement and consultation.
The final FAB meeting of the year was attended by club executives together with FAB members drawn from Bees United and BIAS.
The FAB focuses on off-pitch matters and helps the club to discuss strategic issues with fan representatives.
A number of smaller, more focused working groups on specific topics report into the FAB, providing detailed feedback to shape the club’s policies.
The meeting began with an initial discussion about the club’s season ticket plans, looking at the proposed process and timeline leading up to the 2024/25 season ticket renewals which will take place around March next year.
FAB members were presented the club’s financial performance for the previous season and projections for the 2023/24 season. A review was provided of the changes brought in for this season tickets in 2023/24 which included price freezes, the Every Seat Counts policy and direct debit payments.
FAB members were introduced to Brentford's new sustainability manager James Beale, who shared the club’s priorities over the coming months to deliver Brentford’s sustainability strategy.
Additionally, Brentford's matchday operations team answered questions regarding covering searches on entry to Gtech Community Stadium and the impact of signing up to the Sunflower Hidden Disabilities scheme.
During the meeting, the FAB terms of reference and code of conduct were both signed off by the group.
Since the end of last season, 19 fan working group meetings were held, which report into the FAB. The work of these groups will be communicated on the club’s website in due course.
