Brentford Women have added exciting forward Ashley Cheatley to their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Joining the Bees after a decorated 10-year tenure with Ashford Town, Cheatley brings a wealth of experience on the pitch and will add to Brentford’s front line.
Cheatley re-joins Brentford having played at the club from the 2011/12 season until 2014/15 and also enjoyed a stint with Milwall Lionesses when the club was a part of the Championship, scoring and assisting in her debut for the side.
Last season, Cheatley led the line for Ashford Town, finishing the season as joint top scorer with 12 goals in 17 appearances as the side finished fourth in the Women’s National League Division One South East.
Speaking on joining Brentford, Cheatley, who has worked in the ticketing team at the club for 10 years, said she was happy to be a part of the Bees family and can’t wait to get started.
Speaking on signing for the club, Cheatley said: “I think it’s really exciting, I’ve seen what the club have done at the Gtech and the opportunity to play in front of loads of fans, I’m really happy to be here.”
Cheatley will be joining the likes of Chloe Logie, Nikki Woods and Kirsty Matthews in attack, adding another option in the final third for the Bees.
“I think it’ll be really exciting, between them they’ve scored a lot of goals, so hopefully I can just add to that and build a good relationship and get the best out of each other," said Cheatley.
Osborne said: “Ashley is going to be a great addition to our squad both on and off the pitch.
“She has a lot of experience, especially when it comes to promotions and winning trophies at a high level.
“We have a lot of talent in the final third and adding Ashley will only strengthen us, I can’t wait to see her in action."
