Hello!
Busy week for the ladies ahead of top of the table clash with Camden Town FC.
Two new coaches - Dan, who has been our goal keeper coach for the season, and Lee, who is new to the club.
Dan took the session with Lee and worked on one touch opportunities to play forwards.
This was done in a whole game practice and also a part practice where we could work on the right pass movement and support.
Sunday's game approached fast, weekends seem to be going by so quickly.
With a quick warm up the starting eleven were: Caroline, Amber LL, me (Charlotte), Manuela, Amber Luzar, Goody, Bear (Skipper), Hannah, Lavana, Dana and Ashley.
The first half was very even.
We had plenty of chances to go ahead, playing three or four one-touch passes that led to us hitting the crossbar, but it wasn't meant to be.
The first half was a solid team performance.
We got caught out at the back a few times too where they could have easily nipped a goal or two.
However Caroline also pulled of some good saves to keep us in the game.
We battled well and at half time it was 0-0.
We couldn't let our game drop though we needed to push on and fight harder, create chances.
After ten minutes they slipped through the back and went 1-0 up but we didn't let that get us down.
We had great fight and built up play for Hannah to get a goal back making it 1-1.
After that things unfortunately went downhill and slip ups came and they got through on many occasions.
Camden were strong in the second half and got three late goals to get their win.
Subs that came on were Little Lisa, Lucy Easton and Tia.
Final score was 4-1 to Camden Town.
This where we come together as a team.
See beyond the loss and take the positives out of the game and work on the mistakes.
We have to get back up and show people who we are and how we can fight back.
Yesterday has gone, we forget about it, keep our heads up and think ahead to this week's FA cup fixture against Long Lane.
Bring it on!
Bees you later,
