Brentford defender Raphaël Calvet has been called up to the France Under-20 squad for two upcoming friendly games.
The 19-year-old, who joined The Bees from AJ Auxerre for an undisclosed fee earlier this month, has played for France at youth level and captained the squad which reached the Quarter-Finals of the 2011 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
He was also part of the France squad at the Jeux de la Francophonie, a cultural and sporting event for French speaking nations where 14 countries sent their Under-20 teams to take part in the football event.
Raphaël has been called up to the France Under-20 squad for two friendly matches against Denmark.
These matches will be played on Friday October 11 and Sunday October 13.
Raphaël will link up with the France squad on Wednesday October 9 and will return to West London on Monday October 14.
He will not be available for Brentford’s Sky Bet League One game against Stevenage on October 12.
