Bees United have joined in the congratulations offered to Brentford Football Club Chairman Greg Dyke, who was appointed to one of the top jobs in English football last week.
The Football Association announced last Thursday that Greg, who has been Chairman at Griffin Park since January 2006, would take up the role as Independent FA Chairman in the summer.
Greg will stand down from his position as Brentford FC Chairman and give up his place on the Board of Directors at the end of the 2012/13 season.
He will then start as Independent FA Chairman in July.
Greg took over as Chairman when Supporters’ Trust Bees United completed a takeover of the Club in January 2006.
He, along with other investors, loaned Bees United money to complete the takeover and helped the Club avoid being placed in to administration with an immediate cash injection in late 2005.
Greg was Chairman during the period when Matthew Benham took operational control of Brentford and then bought the majority shareholding in the Club from Bees United.
Chief Executive Mark Devlin and Manager Uwe Rösler offered their congratulations to Greg last week and Bees United (BU) have joined in this morning.
