Jon De Souza's Youth Team moved a step closer to winning the Under-18 Professional Development League Two South with a 1-0 win against Bristol City.
Josh Bohui struck the only goal of the game as his cross looped over home goalkeeper Will Henry and nestled in the bottom corner.
Bristol City had chances to get on the scoresheet as George Dowling struck the bar and Jake Andrews shot over from close range in the second-half.
However Brentford hung on to secure a fifth straight win which means they need just four points from their remaining two matches to guarantee the league title.
Jon made three changes from last week's win over Cardiff City with Kyjuon Marsh-Brown, Zain Westbrooke and Gradi Milenge dropping out for Bohui, Bradley Clayton and Giovanni McGregor.
The Robins, who had won only once in their last nine matches, set up with two solid banks of four and looked to release the pace of Opi Edwards up front at every opportunity.
The home side showed little adventure in the opening minutes and stifled the match by getting men behind the ball as quickly as they could.

The hosts nearly played themselves into deep trouble a minute later as Bohui pounced on a poor Ben Last square ball but the defender recovered to make a fine last ditch tackle to take the ball off Bradley Clayton as he ran to goal.
Joe McNulty drilled a shot just wide from the edge of the box and Reece Cole shot over before The Bees took the lead just after the half-hour.
Bohui twisted and turned on the right, worked some space to cross and his deep ball floated over everyone and kissed the inside of the post before dropping over the line.
City were almost handed an instant way back into the match as Audrius Laucys dallied on the ball and lost possession to Edwards but his final touch was heavy allowing Nik Tzanev to rush out bravely to save at the striker's feet.
McGregor, making his first Under-18s start playing up as an Under-16, was having a fine full debut and he tested Henry from the edge of the box.
Jeremiah Kamanzi shot wide from eight yards and, with the final effort of the half, Cole fired straight at Henry from the edge of the box.
Brentford could have doubled their lead within a minute of the restart as first Clayton saw a shot blocked and then Cole's headed effort was brilliantly turned over by Henry.
Tzanev denied McNulty while at the other end Henry continued to thwart Cole as he turned away his fierce free-kick from 25 yards - the resulting corner was worked out to Bohui and he shot straight at Henry.
Slowly as the half wore on the game became more scrappy and that suited the hosts who were denying The Bees a chance to play their normal passing game.
Dowling headed wide from close range and then shortly after Charlie Harris brought a fine save from Tzanev.
McGregor sent a speculative effort wide from 25 yards and Clayton smashed over from just inside the box before City missed a glorious chance to level in the final five minutes.
A whipped ball found Andrews unmarked five yards out but he managed to scoop his shot over the bar.
That was City's big chance and they knew it.
Things could have got worse for the hosts as Clayton dragged a shot wide from eight yards, Makhosini Khanye flashed a shot wide from distance and, in injury time, Clayton fired straight at Henry.
As it was The Bees needed just the one goal to make it 25 points from a possible 27 and move within touching distance of the Under-18 Professional Development League Two South title.
