After a three week break Brentford FC Futsal Club are back in action tomorrow, Wednesday November 12, when both the A and B teams travel to SportHouse in Barking with games against Crawley A and Brighton and Hove Albion B in the South East Division.
B TEAM PREVIEW
Match Day four sees the B team kick off first against an unbeaten Brighton who are one of the more experienced clubs in the Football League Trust Futsal League.
The Bees B team come off the back of 7-1 comprehensive win against Southend United and are currently in second place just above their opponents on goal difference so this is undoubtedly the game of the day in Division Two.
A lot of hard work has gone in on the futsal court since the last game as the team are still very much in their infancy in learning the nuances of the game which places huge demand on their technique and decision making on a small court.
With four players having scored three goals each in their three games to date, Brentford will be confident of producing goals from players all over the court.
There is one injury doubt over one of the Bees who will have a fitness test before the match.
The other big game of the day in the division takes place prior to the Bees v Seagulls with Chelsea playing top of the table Norwich City.
A TEAM PREVIEW
The A team after a good win in the first week they then had a torrid first half against Brighton’s A team in Week Two but followed this up in Week Three with a superb performance against Chelsea despite losing 2-1.
The Bees will be looking to build on that performance and the team know that despite being fifth and playing the team immediately below them in Crawley Town there are still plenty of games to go to get themselves into the end of season League play-offs.
What should give them a lot of confidence is that Brad Scott and Abas Ali have been invited back to The F.A. Futsal Centre of Excellence which is the first step on the way to representing England at Under 18 level.
The A’s have trained well since that defeat against the Blues and the challenge for them is to carry on that improvement since the Chelsea game.
Coach viewpoint:
BFC Futsal Club Coach – Luis Melville
With the half term break the boys have had a week off but have come back and trained well last week and this week.
The B’s know that they can challenge for the top spot in this league if they stick to the game plan they have been doing so well to carry out in training.
As far as our A team despite the challenge of playing against mostly Year Two scholars there is huge quality in this team as two boys have been retained into the FA Futsal Centre of Excellence.
We must focus on the basic principles of Futsal which will mean we will be competitive.
