Brentford FC Futsal Club have been drawn with Southampton, Cardiff City and Crawley Town in the First Round group stage of this season’s Soccer AM Futsal Cup.
The matches will take place on Tuesday February 3.
The tournament is for students from 48 Football League and Premier League clubs taking part in the FL Trust’s BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport education course.
In its first year, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust has 14 scholars enrolled on the programme having completed five months of the course and at the midpoint of the Futsal League programme.
The Bees are competing in the South East Division against Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion, Norwich City, Leyton Orient as well as Crawley, Southend United and Peterborough United.
Brentford, sitting in mid-table have already come up against Crawley in the league this season, recording a 6-1 win.
Southampton currently sit third in the South West Division having recorded three wins, a draw and three losses.
Cardiff City will be the team to beat in this very tough group.
The Welsh side, who have a very well established programme and play in the South Midlands Division, have a perfect record with seven wins.
First Round groups have been drawn on a North/South regional basis but from the Second Round onwards it will be an open draw and will also be featured on Sky Sports Saturday morning Soccer AM TV programme.
Brentford’s First Round Southern regional matches will take place at Birmingham International Futsal Arena.
It will be on a round-robin format with the top two from each group going through to the Second Round while the bottom pair will compete in a Plate Competition.
Luis Melville, Brentford FC Futsal Club Head Coach, said straight after the draw: "It’s a great opportunity for us to go and play against two well established clubs in the Futsal League such as Cardiff and Southampton.
"We have already come up against Crawley but we can expect tough matches regardless of where a team is in the league.
"The difference here is that clubs can combine all their teams (up to 15 players) to have a strong bench which will be crucial in a competition like this.
"I know all the lads will be striving to be fit and in form for this competition."

For successful candidates we can offer you the chance to study for 12 and a half hours a week, Futsal training three times a week plus a regular league games programme playing against teams such as Chelsea, Norwich, Brighton and Orient.
There’s also the chance to break into The FA Futsal Centre of Excellence.
This full time two-year programme starts in September 2015 and we will be holding an Open Evening at Brentford FC’s Griffin Park in The Sponsors Lounge on Thursday January 29 starting at 7pm.
There will be a full presentation with students from the current group present to speak and talk to.
