Brentford have won the Johnstone’s Paint Community Club of the Year award at the Football League Awards.
Lee Doyle, Chief Executive of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, collected the award at the ceremony this evening, Sunday March 16.
Brentford were named on a five-club shortlist for the prestigious community prize.
The nominees were five clubs named best in their region.
Brentford was named as the Community Club of the Year in the South East region.
Other regional winners were Portsmouth (South West), Derby County (Midlands), Doncaster Rovers (North East) and Morecambe (North West).
In deciding on a winner, judges considered the objectives of the scheme, breadth of delivery, innovation, impact and achievements in 2013, alongside each scheme's flagship project.
They named Brentford as the overall winner.
