Brentford have made a fine start to their Mediterranean International Cup campaign and face one of the biggest names in world football in the last 16 today.
An Under-11 side from Brentford’s Academy are taking part in the 15th edition of the Mediterranean International Cup.
The Bees have played three games in the seven-a-side tournament and have won their way through to the knockout stages.
They started on Wednesday, April 1, with a 2-2 draw against CE Sant Gabriel but had a great day yesterday.
They beat EF Sant Feliu 9-2 before thrashing PSTC Londrina 24-0.
They will face Valencia CF in the last 16 today.
The Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Final will be played tomorrow, Saturday April 4.
Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, said: “The boys have made a great start.
“They have played some superb football and got some impressive results.
“More importantly, they have also represented the Club well over the past few days.
“I am sure they will continue to play well and I hope there will be more good news for Brentford fans over the weekend.”
