As the final preparations are underway at Griffin Park in advance of our 4000th EFL match, all at Brentford Football Club look forward to welcoming lots of new visitors to TW8. A crowd of more than 10,000 is expected with the vast majority backing The Bees as we look for a fifth home win of the season and an eighth in ten home matches. We expect some first time fans to Griffin Park to join in the celebrations with hundreds joining our Season Ticket Holders who took advantage of our offer of two additional tickets for £10 each.
The Griffin Park atmosphere has played a massive part in our recent success at home and we are sure you, our long-standing fans, will make all our guests welcome and help turn them in to the loyal supporters of the future. Griffin Park, with its two terraces and stands close to the pitch, is a special place to watch football, especially in the Sky Bet Championship, and it is the supporters that make it what it is.
Everyone at the Club loves the passion generated from the stands but, we are sad to report, there have been complaints about some of the language used around the ground. The EFL are re-launching their Enjoy the Match campaign – promoting a zero-tolerance approach in Family Areas at stadiums – and Brentford FC is right behind that campaign. But we hope our fans can go further and be aware of their surroundings wherever they are sitting or standing. The Club asks all supporters to be considerate of those around them and to ensure that roaring The Bees to victory does not make life uncomfortable to other fans.
