Brentford Griffins are on the brink of a remarkable league title win in their debut season after picking up a tenth straight victory.
The Griffins, one of the two Brentford Academy sides currently playing in the Football Conference Youth Alliance, saw off Boreham Wood Whites 2-1 last week to move to the top of the Football Conference Youth Alliance London/South East Division.
Goals from Abdul Oues and Christie Pattisson were enough for the victory which moved them above long-time league leaders Chesham United on goal difference.
They know that should they match Chesham's result, against Woking Whites, in their final league game, they will be crowned champions unless there is a 17 goal swing on goal difference.
Brentford's final match, which is against Watford CSE, will be played tomorrow, Wednesday, at Brentford's Training Ground, Jersey Road, kick-off 2pm, and is open to spectators.
Chesham's match against eighth-placed Woking also kicks-off at the same time.
The Griffins have won every game they have played in 2015 by an aggregate score of 37-8 and have the fourth best defence in all nine divisions of the FCYA.
However tomorrow's opponents Watford were the last team to beat The Griffins as they prevailed 1-0 back in mid December.
A win for Watford could see them end the season as high as third.
The Youth Alliance programme was created this season following a partnership between Brentford's Category Two Academy and West Thames College.
The partnership sees boys between the ages of 16-18 train with Brentford's Academy three times a week, with the hope of finding a route back into football, while also studying for BTEC courses with West Thames College.
Two Brentford teams are entered into the Football Conference Youth Alliance playing matches on Wednesday afternoons.
Opponents in the Youth Alliance include similar programmes from Southampton, QPR, Fulham and Watford as well as larger non-league Academies such as Eastleigh, Woking and Basingstoke Town.
