Brentford Griffins picked up another two wins this week to leave them just three points off top spot in the London/South East Division of the Football Conference Youth Alliance.
The Griffins travelled to league leaders Chesham United last Wednesday and left with the three points thanks to Bilal Aalouche's double in a 2-1 win.
Aalouche completed a great week for him and the team as he netted another double on Monday's as The Griffins beat Leatherhead Greens 3-0 at Osterley Sports Club.
Abdul Oues scored the other goal to leave Dan Wright's side just three points off top with a game in hand.
The Griffins have the superior goal difference over Chesham United and Boreham Wood Whites above them and know that three more victories will secure a debut title.
Dan Wright's side have won their last eight matches scoring 28 goals and conceding six.
The Griffins have to wait two weeks for their next fixture which sees them host ninth placed Watford Hertswood at Osterley on April 15th.
Following that they visit second-placed Boreham Wood a week later and finish the season at home to Watford CSE on April 29th.
It was not such a good week for the other Youth Alliance side, The Bees, who were beaten 7-0 away at high-flying Gosport Borough.
The result means that The Bees will finish seventh in the Home Counties/South West Division regardless of result this afternoon at home to Oxford City.
