Brentford FC Community Sports Trust has been providing water sport lessons (canoe and kayaking) and development training programmes to schools, youth and community groups since 2007.
Based in two venues in Hounslow; the Brentford Boating Arch beneath Kew Bridge, and at Brentford Lock on the Grand Union Canal, Paddle Brentford operates under the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS) ensuring that all activities follow strict safety practices.
The core season at both venues runs from March to October each year.

Family paddles on the River Thames at weekends
Partnerships with local kayak clubs Edge Progressive Paddling and Chelsea Kayak Club mean that very keen participants can take their paddling to more challenging levels with trips on the River Thames and even further afield.
Paddle Brentford also offers a social programme catering for participants with learning and physical disabilities, whilst our purpose-built katakanus provide for children with more complex needs, making the waterways accessible to all.
Stand Up Paddleboarding
Paddle Brentford offers stand up paddleboarding, the fastest growing water sport in the UK, enabling the participant to experience the water from a uniquely different perspective.
Regular sessions for adults, juniors and families are available from March to October starting on the calm waters of Brentford Lock and moving onto the more challenging and exciting stretches of the River Thames.
Our stand up paddleboard partners Active 360 offer more experience paddlers longer trips and the Thames as well as charity marathons and coastal paddles.
