Brentford Development Squad defender Aaron Greene has signed a new contract to extend his stay at Griffin Park for a further 12 months.
The teenager joined The Bees from Chelmsford City in the summer, where he was playing at Conference South level, and signed a one-year contract.
He has been almost ever-present for Brentford in Under-21 Professional Development League football this term and has now signed a new contract.
It will keep him at Brentford until the end of the 2015/16 season.
Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, said: “We had Aaron on trial before we signed him and we were impressed with his pace and energy.
“He is a modern full back who likes to attack and fits with the style that we want to play at First Team level and all through the Club.
“He has made great strides in his first six months as a full time footballer and there are signs that there is a lot more to come from him.
“He fully deserved the offer of a new contract and I am pleased he has signed it.
“Aaron will now have a chance to continue to improve and we will see where that takes him.
Aaron made 12 appearances for Chelmsford during the 2013/14 season, having spent time beforehand at Heybridge Swifts and Harlow Town.
He was also on trial at Griffin Park and scored in his only Under-21 Professional Development League Two South appearance against Cardiff City.
His trial was extended in to pre-season and he signed a contract after impressing during the summer.
He has played 17 Under-21 Professional Development League Two games for The Bees this term.
