The Players, supporters, directors and staff at Brentford Football Club have been thanked for a huge donation of Christmas presents for patients at West Middlesex University Hospital.
Presents for people spending the festive period in hospital were collected at Griffin Park in the run up to December 25.
Three large sacks were filled to the brim with presents for children and adults who are being cared for at the hospital over Christmas.
Tony Ashley, Operations Manager, presented the gifts to delighted staff who look after older patients on Crane Ward just before Christmas and they were distributed to wards across the hospital.
Jacqueline Docherty, Chief Executive of West Middlesex Hospital, has written to the Club to thank everyone for their donations.
In her letter, she wrote: “I would like to thank everyone involved with Brentford Football Club for the very generous collection of wrapped presents.
“I understand the presents were donated by players, supporters, staff and directors and were very thoughtfully purchased so patients of all ages could receive a gift over Christmas.
“Staying in hospital can be an anxious experience at any time of year but especially at Christmas.
“Our staff work hard to help patients have the best experience possible and being able to give presents donated by our local community is a wonderful help.
“Thank you again on behalf of everyone here at West Middlesex University Hospital and we wish you a happy and successful 2013.”
