Zain Westbrooke has today, Friday 1 September, joined National League side Solihull Moors on a 28-day Youth Loan. The move was completed this afternoon with Zain set to stay at Damson Park until 29 September.  The midfielder, who has captained the B Team since it began in 2016, made the most appearances for Kevin O'Connor's side during last season's campaign, 36 starts and two cameos from the bench, scoring six goals. So far this season, Zain has already netted three times in six appearances, against teams including ETO Gyor, Benfica and Everton U23. Solihull Moors are currently 23rd in the National League after Monday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Tranmere Rovers. Liam McDonald’s side will play six fixtures during Zain's loan spell, starting with a league game away at Aldershot Town on Saturday afternoon before a Tuesday match against Chester FC on home turf. Head of Football Operations Rob Rowan said: “I’m pleased we’ve managed to finalise a loan deal for Zain, going on loan to Solihull Moors will be really beneficial for Zain as he will be challenged in areas that we believe he needs to improve on should he be able to become a regular for our First Team. "One of the benefits of this deal was that Zain can still train and play with the B Team whilst training and playing for Solihull Moors so we will have more control over his development than you do with most loans. "I would like to wish him good luck on behalf of the staff and I look forward to seeing him play."
