Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is joining in with the 2.6 Challenge. The Trust is giving fans and those in the local community the chance to take part in a new Bees 2.6 Virtual Challenge. New walking, running, cycling and other creative challenges will be announced in the coming days and weeks. Those that take part will receive a badge for each completed challenge and a bespoke #beeathome 2.6 finisher t-shirt for every donation
The 2.6 Challenge has been designed to help the countries charities. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income for charities through fundraising events. The Virgin Money London Marathon alone, which should have taken place on Sunday, 26 April, is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019. The 2.6 Challenge is planned to fill some of that gap.
There are no rules - apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time. The main thing is to get active, have fun, pledge whatever you can to help or fundraise to save the UK's charities. Join now, tag #TwoPointSixChallenge and #BeeatHome, nominate your friends and family and donate. See more here.
