As part of their work celebrating Black History Month, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust have been delivering diversity workshops in schools. Black History Month is an annual observance remembering the contribution of people of African and Caribbean descent. It is celebrated every October in the United Kingdom is an important way to mark black history.
The Trust are currently working in schools across West London and have are celebrating diversity. The workshops are being delivered as part of the Premier League Primary Stars initiative, which uses football to teach about the wider world. The workshops are just one way Black History Month is being marked by the Club.
As Black History Month draws to a close, join us as we celebrate the contribution of black players and staff, reflect on some of the challenges we still face and discuss how we can work together to make a lasting and positive difference both at our Club and across the football industry. This will be discussed at a webinar later this week. See more here.
