Brentford have signed striker Scott Hogan from Rochdale for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old completed the formalities of the move earlier today and has agreed a three-year contract.
Mark Warburton, Brentford FC Manager, said: “We are delighted to have secured the signature of Scott Hogan, a player we have tracked for a long period.
“We have admired his obvious goal scoring ability and all-round contribution over that period of time.
“Scott fits our criteria in terms of age and development and potential.
“It is testament to the work of a Sporting Director Frank McParland and his team that we have got Scott.
“We once again fought off a number of Championship rivals for his signature.
“We look forward to Scott being involved tomorrow [Tuesday July 22] against Barnet and playing a significant role in the season ahead.”
Scott came through the youth ranks at Rochdale but was released in 2010 before he had made a First Team appearance.
After three years in non-league he went back to Rochdale, signing a two-year contract last summer.
In 33 Sky Bet League Two games in 2013/14 he scored 17 goals, 19 in 40 games in all competitions.
Scott was shortlisted for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year award and was named in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.
