Reece Cole has committed his future to Brentford by signing a long-term contract. The B Team midfield player, who turned professional a year ago, sign a three-year deal today, Monday 3 April. The 19-year-old made his Sky Bet Championship debut last month and is now under contract with The Bees until the summer of 2020.

Reece joined The Bees when he was 14 and first played for the Youth Team when he was in the Under-15 squad, making him three years younger than many he was playing against. He completed a two-year scholarship last summer and was handed a two-year contract. Reece has played 24 times for Brentford B this season and scored six goals. He made his debut for the First Team in the win at Nottingham Forest last month and has been an unused substitute on four further occasions this season.

Rob Rowan, Brentford FC Head of Football Operations, said: “Reece has thoroughly deserved a new contract due to his application over the last few months. He’s really developed as a footballer and man over the season and the Technical Staff and I are sure there is plenty more to come from him. It’s good for both parties that the new contract is for three years, it gives us plenty time to work together towards the common goal of developing Reece into a regular First Team player.”
