Relegated from the Premier League, Norwich did their best to keep hold of their key players and staff in order to challenge for a place in the top-flight at the first time of asking. It worked. A dominant season followed, where they rarely dropped out of the top two automatic positions. Picking up an incredible 29 wins, Daniel Farke's team reached 97 points - one of the highest tallies ever recorded - and confirmed promotion with five games to spare. Ever professional, they went on to win the Championship title with two wins from their final three games.

Their display was highlighted by a 13-game unbeaten run from February to April. During this time, they won 11 games and kept eight clean sheets - this included a 7-0 thrashing of Huddersfield.

Their domestic cup runs suffered in favour of league success. They lasted one game in the Carabao Cup, losing 3-1 to Luton Town in the First Round. They went one better in the Emirates FA Cup, beating Coventry City in the Third Round before losing 1-0 to Barnsley in the Fourth.

As a professional player, Farke was a forward who spent his entire career in Germany. A 14-year career was spent in the lower levels of German football for teams like Paderborn, Lippstadt and Meppen.

His first managerial role came with Lippstadt where, in six seasons, he took them up two tiers of football to the Regionalliga West. He joined Dortmund II as Head Coach in 2015, spending two years there and achieving back-to-back top four Regionalliga finishes. He took Norwich to the Premier League in his second season.

The Bees lost 1-0 to Norwich at Carrow Road on 3 March 2021, just under four months ago. Emi Buendía scored the crucial goal in the first half, cutting in from the right wing to fire low beyond David Raya. A late shout for a penalty on Bryan Mbeumo went unanswered and City took all three points.

Bees: Raya; Dalsgaard, Reid (Roerslev 76), Pinnock, Sørensen; Jensen, Janelt (Norgaard 67), Ghoddos (Forss 76); Mbeumo, Toney, Canós (Fosu 67)

Norwich: Krul; Aarons, Hanley, Gibson, Giannoulis; Skipp, McLean; Buendia, Vrancic (Rupp 69), Hernandez (Sørensen 83); Pukki (Hugill 87)
