Brentford duo Jake Bidwell and Adam Forshaw have been named in the Sky Bet League One PFA Team of the Year.

The pair were honoured at the PFA Awards, held last night, Sunday April 27.

They were two of the 11 players named as the best in their respective positions in League One by their fellow professionals.

Jake, 21, was named as the left back in the team while Adam, 22, was selected in the midfield.

It is the second seasonal award for Adam, who was named Sky Bet League One Player of the Year, a prize voted for by the managers of League One clubs, at the Football League Awards in March.

The midfield player scored eight goals and set up another five in 40 games this season.

Jake – who also picked up another award this season, being named Football League Young Player of the Month for January – has also played 40 games this season, contributing five assists.

Both played a large role in Brentford winning promotion from Sky Bet League One this season, earning a spot in the second tier for The Bees for the first time since 1993.
