Brentford Football Club have reached an agreement for the termination of Paul Hayes’ contract.

Paul joined Brentford from Charlton Athletic in August 2012.

The Dagenham-born 30-year-old, started out at Norwich City and also played for Scunthorpe United, Barnsley, Huddersfield Town and Preston North End before joining Charlton in the summer of 2011.

He had a spell on loan at Wycombe Wanderers early in 2012 before joining The Bees.

He scored six goals in 32 games in 2012/13 and also went out on loan to Crawley Town before returning to play for The Bees in the League One Play-Off Semi-Final and Final.

He made one further appearance this term – in a Capital One Cup win over Dagenham and Redbridge.

Mark Warburton, Brentford FC Sporting Director, said: “We are pleased we have been able to reach an agreement with Paul.

“He can now get on with his career.

“We would like to wish Paul all the best for the future and thank him for his efforts during his time at Brentford.”
