Emmanuel Oyeleke has joined npower League Two Northampton Town on a one-month loan deal.

The midfield player, known as Manny, linked up with The Cobblers this morning and completed the deal this afternoon.

He will be available for Northampton’s League Two match away to Gillingham tomorrow night, Tuesday January 29.

He will remain at Sixfields until February 26.

Manny made his Brentford debut in an FA Cup Second Round tie against Wrexham in December 2011.

The 20-year-old is on a Development Squad contract at Griffin Park but has been given a squad number for the 2012/13 season by Manager Uwe Rösler.

The midfield player excelled for Brentford’s Youth and Reserve teams in 2010/11, his first season at the Club, and continued to prove himself at Development Squad level when completing his scholarship in 2011/12.

Formerly on the books of Chelsea and Queen’s Park Rangers, Manny was at the FootballCV Academy before joining Brentford.

He was named as a substitute for the last game of the 2010/11 season and made an impact in pre-season before the start of the 2011/12 campaign.

He made his Football League debut against Milton Keynes Dons on New Year’s Eve 2011.

Manny has not made a First Team appearance this season but has been an unused substitute eight times and has played seven games for the Development Squad, scoring twice.

Ose Aibangee, Brentford Academy Director, said: “This is a great opportunity for Manny to go out and play football at the top of League Two.

“Northampton are pushing for promotion and play a top-of-the-table game tomorrow night, it will be a great experience for him to go in to a pressurised atmosphere and play a good standard of football.

“Manny has been in and around the First Team this season and is used to the build-up to matches.

“He has played very well at Under-21 level and has adjusted to a change of position.

“It is now time for him to go out and play man’s football at a good level.

“We will watch his development with interest over the next month.”
