Keith Fear (1952); 8 appearances, 2 goal

Fear spent two months at Griffin Park on loan from Plymouth Argyle during the middle of the 1979/80 season. His eight appearances in Division Three coincided with a dramatic loss of form for Bill Dodgin’s side. The Bees would win once while Fear was at the Club, a 7-2 victory at home to Hull City which saw the midfielder get on the scoresheet. His other goal in red and white came during a 2-2 home draw with Chester on Boxing Day before he returned to the South West.

Paul Mortimer (1968); 8 appearances, 0 goals

Another whose stay at Griffin Park was only a temporary one, Mortimer spent a month on loan during the 1992/93 Division One season. His six league appearances brought just four points as Phil Holder’s side began their slide towards the relegation zone. The 24-year-old also played both legs of our Anglo-Italian Cup Semi-Final against Derby County ahead of his return to Crystal Palace.

Adam Reed (1991); 12 appearances, 0 goals

Reed swapped the red and white of Sunderland for the red and white of Brentford in February 2011. His debut came back in the North East against his hometown club Hartlepool, one of 11 League One appearances the future Philippines international would make. The midfielder also started the Football League Trophy Final against Carlisle United at Wembley. Following a drop into the non-league, Reed moved to Philippine side Stallion ahead of spells in the Thai and Malaysian top divisions.

Luka Racic (1999); 9 appearances, 1 goal

Luka joined Brentford B in the summer of 2018 from FC Kobenhaven. A part of the Middlesex Cup winning side, his Championship debut came away at Millwall last April, one of two first team appearances he would make before the end of the season. This term the Danish defender has featured seven times in all competitions, netting his maiden professional goal during February’s 2-2 draw away at Cardiff City.
