Brentford’s Development Squad striker Luke Norris has joined Boreham Wood on loan.

The 19-year-old will link up with the Blue Square Bet South club ahead of their match against Truro City tomorrow, Saturday December 8.

Luke will remain with Boreham Wood until January 3 and will be available for six games for the Hertfordshire side.

Luke had made two appearances as a substitute for Brentford’s First Team and the striker – formerly known as Luke Hacker – has scored goals prolifically for Brentford’s Youth Team and Development Squad.

Luke has played nine games for Brentford’s Development Squad in the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South this season, six as a starter.

He has scored five goals and is joint top scorer with fellow striker Antonio German.

He also scored in Brentford’s Middlesex Senior Charity Cup win over Staines Lammas.

Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Director of Youth Development, said: “Luke has had a good start to the season and has been an important part of the team in the Under-21 league.

“With no league games scheduled for a month, we felt this was a chance for Luke to go out and play men’s football.

“At his age this is the next step for him, to play games and score goals in non-league football.

“We will keep a close eye on him and see how he has developed when he returns.”

Development Squad player Michael Kamau has left the Club this week after an agreement was reached for the termination of his contract.

Michael joined The Bees from Fulham in the summer of 2011 and played 15 times for the Development Squad during the 2011/12 season.

He has made three appearances in the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South this season.

Ose added: “Michael is a player who could have a future in the game but we have nothing further to offer him at this time.

“Everyone at Brentford wishes him all the best for his career.”
